FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

+ Can you shower and bathe while wearing the Vision?

Absolutely. No water will damage the electronics during showering and taking baths. And it will stay securely on to your arm.

+ Can you sweat while wearing the Vision?

The Vision has been stress-tested with running, pilates, strength training, cross-fit, hot yoga, spin, hiking a mountain, boxing, and other fitness activities. Sweat will not damage the technology.

The Vision has been shown to stay secure on the body in even the sweatiest workouts. There is a small possibility, that an individual sweats so much that the adhesive of the Vision transmitter (hardware) becomes loose. In that case, you just need to re-apply fresh adhesives (extras provided by Vision) to the back of your Vision transmitter. A Vision Guide will walk you through this upon your first time wearing the Vision. And feel free to text a Vision Guide, anytime, if you have any questions.

+ Can you sleep while wearing the Vision?

Certainly. It will stay securely on your arm.

+ Can you swim while wearing the Vision?

Yes, you can swim with Vision. It is water-resistant up to 1m deep for a period of 30 minutes.

+ Can you wear the Vision in places other than your arm?

We highly recommend that wearers only wear the Vision on the back of their arm as intended.

+ Can you take off the Vision?

The Vision is meant to be worn on the arm for 14 days at a time.

There are two parts to the Vision sensor:

  1. The Vision transmitter (hardware)

  2. The third party FDA approved continuous glucose sensor that the Vision transmitter attaches to.

Taking off the Vision transmitter
The Vision transmitter can be taken off at any time. Just remove the Vision transmitter from the top of the third party FDA approved continuous glucose sensor. To reapply the Vision transmitter on to the third party continuous glucose sensor, you will need to reapply adhesives to the back of the Vision transmitter, and then back on your arm. Extra adhesives come with your subscription.

Taking off the third party FDA approved continuous glucose sensor
The third party continuous glucose sensor needs to stay on the arm for sensing to be active. If that is taken off, it will deactivate and need to be disposed of. To take off the sensor, you just take it off like a band-aid. You will not be able to reuse the same third party FDA approved continuous glucose sensor.

How long does it last?

The Vision is intended to worn for 14 days at a time. The battery life of the Vision transmitter is 14 days long. It takes around 3 hours to charge it fully. The third party FDA approved continuous glucose sensor has a 14 day lifespan. It should be taken off after 14 days and then disposed of.

What happens if someone is on keto and uses the Vision?

At the beginning of a Keto diet — people often have challenges with energy. This is likely because they have such low glucose levels. In this case, at the beginning of the Keto diet — one’s Prime Energy will be low, and that is accurate. Once the person begins using fat as energy — the liver begins creating glucose (gluconeogenesis).

Once this occurs — the person consuming a Keto diet has glucose levels that now tend to be quite steady in between 90-108 mg/dL (equivalent to within 80%-95% Prime Energy) — likely due to gluconeogenesis — even while not eating carbs. While constantly in this state, people consuming a Keto diet have anecdotally said that they have a good amount of energy. Hence, the person during this state — will indeed be at “Prime” with steady glucose levels (90-108 mg/dL) — *and* the Prime Energy level will be accurate — in relation to how the person feels.

(Note: This information above on the Keto diet is based on the Company’s knowledge of Keto. Importantly, while the Vision can be a powerful tool for people consuming a Keto diet, Vision does not endorse a Keto diet.)
